Abstract

|
In order to observe the time of the first appearance of Bowie positive pepsinogen granules in tole gland cells of the chicken proventriculus, histologioal examination was performed on the chicken embryo proventriculus at 7, 10, 14, 18, 19, 20 and 21 days postincubation.
The first appearance of Bowie positive pepsinogen granules in the gland cells of the chicken proventriculus was at 21 days postincubation.
